The Studio – Apple TV
The Studio é tudo de bom que dizem. E mais.
Digo isso tendo visto apenas 3 episódios da série. Depois de rir alta pela 3ª vez seguida, descobriu que esse menino ganhou 4 dos principais prêmios do Emmy de uma só vez: melhor texto, melhor comédia, direção e ator principal.
O detalhe é que Seth Rogen estava em todas.
O enredo segue a história de um executivo alçado ao posto máximo de um estúdio, e sua briga para tentar fazer coisas de qualidade e com bilheteria ao mesmo tempo.
Deu bastante vontade de ver os outros episódios. Espero que a série permaneça por várias temporadas!

Genialidade em camadas
Sempre gostei muito de musicais. O suficiente para que meu pai fizesse brincadeiras de natureza duvidosa ponderando a respeito de minha masculinidade.
Quanto finalmente consegui viajar para Nova Yorque, nada mais natural do que me esbaldar na Broadway.
Foram 6 dias e 5 musicais.
Fui nos mais tradicionais da época: O Fantasma da Ópera, Homem aranha andando no teto acima da plateia e desculpas pra lá de esfarrapadas pra cantar músicas do Abba em Mamma Mia.
No entanto, num dos dias que tinha reservado para o Teatro, tive que mudar a programação. A ideia era ver “The Book of Mornon”, peça que estava há poucos anos no ar. O musical era de coautoria de Trey Parker e Matt Stone, criadores de South Park. Nada mais natural em esbarrar no trabalho desse gênio por ali: nem todo mundo sabe, mas Trey Parker tinha duas especializações na Universidade: Cinema e Música.
Ali por aquelas tantas, ele já tinha inclusive ganhado uma indicação ao Oscar de 2000, com a música “Blame Canada”.
Eu já era fã incondicional do Trey. Minha expectativa, portanto, era enorme. Minhas capacidades de organização, por outro lado, permaneciam pífias.
Como o musical estava extremamente concorrido, acabaram-se os ingressos para aquele dia. Na fila pra comprar, recebi a triste notícia. Mas não sem antes ouvir um comentário entusiasmado, de um norte-americano que morava no interior do país:
“Eu já assisti e estou aqui para ver de novo. É o que eu já vi de mais engraçado na vida”; parecia uma hipérbole, mas não era. A escolha das palavras foi proposital, e sua empolgação me surpreendeu bastante. Nunca mais esqueci desse sujeito.
Anos mais tarde, voltei ali pela Broadway. Agora, bem mais organizado (para os meus padrões, é claro). “The Book of Mormon” era o único espetáculo que eu havia comprado com antecedência. Eu já sabia que ela tinha sido um sucesso descomunal de público, e que venceu 9 Tonys e teve 14 indicações. Tony é uma premiação com moldes semelhantes ao Oscar, no universo do teatro.
Quando começou a peça, não acreditei naquilo que estava vendo: a história era envolvente, os personagens cativantes, a música era espetacular. Coreografia de primeira. E o espetáculo era muito, mas muito engraçado.
Eu ria demais. Ria solto. Até chorava um pouco.
Lembro que no intervalo entre um ato e outro, fui para o banheiro, que estava cheio. Isso não é incomum em casas de espetáculo. A fila no banheiro masculino anda rápido, mas não tem condição de satisfazer suas necessidades fisiológicas sem uns 6 minutos de espera.
Não conseguia parar de rir. No início da fila, no meio de fila e até mesmo já me apresentando em um dos mictórios.
Nesse ponto o leitor deve estar pensando: “Ah, esse Eurico deve ser meio bobo-alegre: desses que tem ataque de riso cada vez que o cachorro faz uma gracinha”.
Não, não... Pior que não. Às vezes passo mais de 20 episódios de sitcons até dar uma risada mais forte.
E o mais impressionante é que não era só eu: os outros caras também estavam rindo no urinol. Vários deles!
A peça continuou no 2º e último ato com a mesma toada. O mesmo ritmo. Parecia que haviam jogado gás lacrimogênio na plateia.
Terminei com vontade de assistir novamente, o que também não é normal no meu caso.
Saí do teatro com impressão de que aquela obra é insuperável. Próximo da perfeição. É como o recorde de Marita Koch, da Alemanha Oriental, que fez 47,6 nos 400m raros feminino, em 1985. A Alemanha Oriental nem existe mais, mas o recorde da Marita continua por ali.
Costumo falar brincando: “The Book of Mormon” é o que há – como se as outras coisas simplesmente não existissem.
Pois bem. Depois que se é pai, é natural querer mostrar pra sua cria obras de arte que impactaram a sua vida.
Há uma curiosidade natural em saber o que a Filha vai achar da peça.
Mas não é só isso; The Book of Mormon é uma obra de arte – fala sobre sociologia, teologia, antropologia, psicologia... e também tem conteúdo social e violência.
Obviamente, não é adequado para uma criança de 10 anos. Mas o problema é só a idade? Claro que não! Há que se ter também uma capacidade intelectual apoiada numa cesta de referências para poder apreciar a obra da melhor forma. Uma criança ainda nova não a tem.
Comecei a refletir em que idade seria provável que ela conseguisse curtir boa parte da obra.
Curtir considerando suas condições de momento. As apreciações são sempre condicionadas ao ponto de conhecimento do consumidor da arte.
Sátiras, ironias, hipérboles, jogos de palavras... Cada um tem um alcance, a depender da bagagem do público que a consome.
Essa resposta não é nem um pouco elementar. É difícil de mensurar. Eu só poderia fazer uma estimativa, que poderia estar certa ou não. Além disso, há diversos níveis de entendimento. Se eu tivesse assistido a essa peça com 20 anos idade, certamente não teria achado tão genial quanto achei na casa dos 30.
E isso não se aplica só ao teatro. O raciocínio serve pra basicamente todo tipo de arte. Qual seria a idade ideal, por exemplo, para sugerir o fora-de-série filme argentino “El Segreto de sus Ojos”?
No mercado financeiro, também há diferentes níveis de entendimento. A pessoa deve ir entrando aos pouquinhos, se acostumando com o clima e vendo como se comporta seu emocional.
Há muita gente inexperiente que quer pular direto para os derivativos, onde pode-se ganhar dinheiro muito rápido. E perder tudo o que você ganhou antes de conseguir comemorar o feito.
O ditado “Opções é cemitério de malandro” não existe à toa.
No fim, tanto ‘The Book of Mormon’ quanto o livro do mercado financeiro têm sua própria dinâmica, com atos que não podem ser pulados.
Querer ir direto para os derivados é como tentar entender a piada final da peça sem ter conhecido os personagens. Vai dar ruim...
