Stick – Apple TV
Stick é uma série nova na Apple TV, está na 1ª temporada ainda. Segue a vida de uma jovem promessa no golfe e um ex-golfista profissional que busca sua redenção.
O seriado tem uma produção excelente. Pra quem gosta de golfe então, diria que é imperdível. Bem legal a ambientação, me lembrou um joguinho de celular que eu tive há uns anos.
A história é envolvente e o elenco é ótimo.
Eu classificaria a produção como comédia dramática – que é o formato que eu mais tenho gostado ultimamente.

Guilt Trip
- Você quer doar 84 centavos para o Hospital da Baleia?
- O quê?... Não, obrigado.
- CPF na nota fiscal?
- Pode ser.
- Programa de fidelidade do supermercado?
- Não.
- Crédito ou Débito.
- Ainda bem! Achei que você fosse me perguntar agora do nome de solteira da minha mãe.
- Débito ou crédito? – a caixa repetiu a pergunta. Cara de poucos amigos. Por certo, não gostou da gracinha de Everaldo. Talvez ela já tivesse ouvido algo parecido antes.
- Crédito – respondeu um resignado freguês, puxando a carteira para pegar o chip do cartão.
“Nem todo mundo gosta de conversar no trabalho”, pensou o protagonista.
- E, antes que eu me esqueça: que diacho é Hospital da Baleia? – pensou Everaldo, começando um animado solilóquio mental.
- Deve ser algo de defesa dos animais aquáticos – o rapaz se respondeu a si mesmo (permissão para usar o pleonasmo).
- Mas, como assim? – Belo Horizonte não tem nem praia?!
Esse solilóquio obviamente não levou a lugar algum. O rapaz conversava com si próprio, que obviamente não sabia a resposta. Posteriormente, ele descobriu tratar-se de um hospital. Basicamente um hospital geral filantrópico.
Mas aquilo ainda o incomodava.
À princípio ele imaginava que era apenas um macete para resolver o problema da falta de troco para o dinheiro físico. Mas não. Uma pesquisa mais aprofundada mostrou que o grande ganho para o supermercado é de imagem mesmo.
Eu, supermercado, dei a você, consumidor, a possibilidade de fazer filantropia com 80 centavos. Viu só como eu sou bonzinho? Viu só como eu sou preocupado com as causas sociais?
Existe até um mito de que as instituições usam as doações para a empresa pegar restituição do imposto de renda – o que, seguindo os melhores parâmetros da contabilidade e do direito tributário, não parece fazer muito sentido.
No entanto, o que incomodava mais a Everaldo era o fato da empresa te colocar numa saia justa. Você está ali, de frente pro caixa e para um considerável número de outros clientes.
Na hora em que a atendente pergunta se você vai doar dinheiro ou não, acende-se um holofote em sua direção e um bateirista começa a rufar os tambores. Nos próximos segundos, todos vão saber se você é homem mais generoso do mundo ou um sovina que não abre mão nem mesmo de 80 centavos.
Era assim que Everaldo se sentia, sempre que a pergunta chegava. Desnecessário dizer, a sensação não era nem um pouco agradável.
De certa forma, ele era constrangido a doar.
O norte-americano chama isso de “Guilt trip”. A tradução seria algo como “viagem de culpa” – uma espécie de manipulação psicológica. Contanto que você se sinta culpado, fará exatamente aquilo que a outra pessoa desejava que você fizesse.
Daremos um pause por um minuto e iremos para o trânsito. Você está no seu carro.
O sinal fica no vermelho e várias pessoas se adiantam no espaço em que os carros deveriam ocupar. De vidro em vidro, elas pedem contribuições.
Aqui o verbo “pedir” tem um sentido bem elástico. A depender da cidade, do perfil da pessoa que esteja no carro e do perfil da pessoa que está pedindo, o “pedido” facilmente poderia ser configurado como uma extorsão.
Alguns vem com uma garrafinha pra borrifar no vidro. O conteúdo é de água e um sabão que escolheu se identificar com um tipo de graxa.
Quando o rapaz vem limpar o seu vidro e você não impede, há a possibilidade de ficar mais limpo ou muito mais sujo do que antes. É como uma moeda que, seja por pena ou por medo, você acaba jogando para o alto.
Pois bem: essa “indústria” já se desenvolveu um bocado, e engloba até mesmo alugueis de crianças pra passar o dia no colo do pedinte.
Para funcionar, ela precisa de muito “guilt trip” para ser eficiente. Vale tudo no intuito de deixar o próximo culpado. Por que não?
Isso não acontece só nos supermercados e nos sinais de trânsito.
Começou a povoar o mercado financeiro, seja o assessor sugerindo um COE ou um gerente de banco tentando te empurrar um título de capitalização.
Não ceda ao “guilt trip”. E daí que ele precisa disso pra bater a meta dele? Se a meta dele foi fazer você perder dinheiro, temos um problema por aqui.
Dê preferência a profissionais de mercado certificados e experientes.
Ou então você poderá acabar culpando o “cassino” do mercado financeiro.
