Investindo em Small Caps
Esta semana fizemos o nosso primeiro encontro presencial dos alunos de uma Turma de nosso curso de FIIs, os alunos da Turma 6. O objetivo era possibilitar um ambiente que os alunos pudessem se conhecer e conversar sobre investimentos, algo tão raro em nossas rodas de convivência.
Apesar de um encontro informal, fiz questão de falar por 30 min. e, para isso, decidi levar algumas citações de alguns autores que gosto. E, em busca de uma citação no livro do nosso amigo Anderson Lueders, achei uma outra citação que cabe muito bem no momento e faz todo sentido replicar aqui:
“É importante recordar que os investidores brasileiros que ingressaram no mercado de capitais nos últimos cinco anos ainda não sabem o que é queda de verdade, como ocorreu em diversos ciclos anteriores. Até agora, o fluxo de capital valorizou quase todas as ações da bolsa, trazendo a sensação de que o investidor sobreviveu por sua competência.” (grifo nosso)Lueders, Anderson: Investindo em Small Caps.
Observem o trecho grifado. Agora inverta a lógica e aplique ao momento atual. Eu li esse livro em 2008, durante a crise do subprime, mas não lembrava exatamente quando o autor tinha terminado de escrever e perguntei. A resposta foi que o livro foi concluído em maio de 2008, sendo que em setembro de 2008 foi o auge da crise do subprime.
O Anderson tem uma mente muito a frente em termos de investimentos e reler alguns trechos novamente apenas confirmam essa minha percepção. Ler esses trechos e me deixou com vontade de ler o livro novamente, acredito que vale muito à pena e por isso recomendo. Ele não apresenta apenas um aprendizado sobre como investir em ações, ou escolhar as Small Caps, mas conceitos sobre finanças pessoas, giro de carteira dentro da mesma classe e intra-classe.
Agora, o pulo do gato que fará a diferença ao ler este livro. Ler um livro que foi escrito no final do Bull Market de 2008, um dos mais longos e em um período que ninguém queria investir no exterior (sim, isso já existiu), é um aprendizado único, pois nos permite ver em perspectiva algo que, para muitos, nunca foi visto, anos de valorização e ao mesmo tempo ver os cuidados que o autor tinha de alertar os investidores sobre como o mercado poderia mudar e como ele deveria se proteger, em um período que tínhamos anos de valorização e parecia impossível isso acontecer.

Colocar o despertador físico: muita gente ainda usa aquele despertador branquinho, velho de guerra, onde você roda o pino que fica em algum lugar entre 6:57 e 7:12 e voilá! Tá pronto o despertador! Dói um pouco o dedo pra rodar o pininho, mas sabe como é: no pain, no gain, como diria a frase incentivadora mais usada na academia.
Colocar o alarme do celular: ninguém usa mais despertador físico. Machuca até os dedos sem necessidade. Simplesmente programe no celular e dê um nomezinho simpático para o motivo de querer acordar cedo.
Peça pra esposa (o) te acordar: se sua metade da laranja desperta cedo, jogue a responsabilidade nela (e). Assim, se o outro falhar, você já tem a desculpa perfeita pra não fazer nada.
